2025-2026 TRHC Season Information

The Toms River Hockey Club has been providing a competitive travel ice hockey program for players in the greater Ocean County area for 50 years.  Proud to be one of the remaining non-profit organizations, we are excited to again offer a comprehensive and affordable "family first" travel hockey program for the upcoming 2025/26 season in conjunction with the guidelines set forth by USA Hockey and the Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association (AAHA).  This season, we will to compete in the Atlantic Hockey Federation (AHF) to continue giving our players and their families regional competition, an exciting new level of exposure, and all of the opportunities that come with a league that now boasts organizations across 13 states.  We also remain committed to offering our traditional tuition discounts, including 50% off tuition for full time goaltenders, and family sibling discounts (see below). 

We are very proud to announce our tryout dates, hockey program information, and tuition structure for the 2025/2026 Toms River Blackhawks travel ice hockey season. For the upcoming season, we are again offering a limited travel Mite ADM developmental program, regular goaltending clinics, and specialized clinic sessions throughout the season.

Our club plans to skate competitive travel hockey teams from the 8U through the 18U age levels to compete in the Atlantic Hockey Federation (AHF) as well as various showcases and tournaments throughout the region.

Our popular 6U/8U Mite ADM developmental program will continue to be offered to our youngest players looking to enter into organized travel hockey.  This program puts a focus on player development and skills acquisition for the younger 6U/8U Mite players with a true 3:1 practice to game ratio over the course of the season, all in a FUN and fast paced learning environment.  Included in our 6U/8U Mite ADM program tuition is approximately 40-50 on-ice practices, participation in the AAHA Mite Jamboree, a limited number of games later in the season, and participation in an end of season 6U/8U tournament!  You can find all the information on our 6U/8U Mite ADM Program on our website HERE.

Our 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U and 18U teams will begin their seasons participating in the AHF’s Spring Festival Parity Event on April 5th & 6th for our 10U & 12U teams, and May 3rd & 4th for our 14U, 16U, and 18U teams. The AHF’s Spring Festival Parity Event is used by the league to create a competitively balanced schedule for the upcoming season.  Our teams will return to the ice in early August for weekly practices.  Our players will also participate in off-ice dryland, strength, agility and conditioning training during the early part of the season.  Our 10U, 12U, and 14U age level teams will receive supplemental skills clinics during the season led by our TRHC skills instructors. Our 10U, 12U, and 14U goaltenders will also be able to participate in club goaltending clinics throughout the season, led by our TRHC goaltending instructor.

In addition to very competitive and affordable tuition, we will continue to offer a number of traditional TUITION DISCOUNTS to our members.

• GOALTENDERS - 50% OFF your season's tuition for all FULL TIME goalies from 10U Squirt thru 18U Midget levels (does NOT apply to 8U Mites).  The intent of this discount is to encourage our full time goalies to work with outside goaltending coaches, attend clinics of their choosing, and to help offset the substantial cost of equipment.  Please note that NO OTHER DISCOUNTS are applicable when a goaltender takes the 50% GOALIE DISCOUNT.

• FAMILY DISCOUNT - Family discounts are available as follows: 

  • Highest Fee Skater = Full Tuition

  • 2nd Highest Fee Skater = 20% discount

  • 3rd Highest Fee Skater = 50% discount

• 5% DISCOUNT - 5% OFF your tuition if you pay in FULL at tryouts!!!

Our tryouts for the 2025-2026 hockey season will be held at Winding River Skating Center in Toms River, New Jersey starting on the following weeks:

• Starting on March 24th, 2025 for 8U / 10U / 12U Age Levels

• Starting on April 14th 2025 for 14U / 16U / 18U Age Levels

Tryout dates and times for all age levels have been posted on our website (http://njblackhawks.com/) and all players are strongly encouraged to PRE-REGISTER for tryouts as well to receive information in advance of arriving at the rink.
